A nice gem crystal of Petalite from Khetchel village, Momeik, Shan State, Burma.

Petalite is lithium aluminum silicate, with a formula of LiAl(Si4O10). Its name is from the Greek petalon for leaf, in allusion to its perfect basal cleavage.

Measures 2.3 x 1.7 x 1.1 centimeters.
