Pyrargyrite on Calcite, Mexico
A beautiful specimen of Pyrargyrite ('Ruby silver') crystals on Calcite from Veta Santo Nino, Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico.
Pyrargyrite is silver antimony sulfide, whose composition is Ag3SbS3. The name is from the Greek pyr, "fire", and argyros, "silver", a reference to both it's color and silver content.
Measures 2.4 x 2.3 x 2.3 centimeters.
