A very attractive, lustrous cluster of brown Pyromorphite crystals from the Broken Hill Mine, New South Wales, Australia.
Pyromorphite is lead chlorophosphate, with a formula of Pb5(PO4)3Cl.
The name is from the Greek word pyr meaning “fire” and morphe, "form".
Measures 3.3 x 1.6 x 1 centimeters.
