Pyromorphite Crystals, Bad Ems, Germany

A very nice specimen of brown crystals of Pyromorphite from the long-closed and highly-sought-after locale of Bad Ems, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany.

Pyromorphite is lead chlorophosphate, with a formula of Pb₅(PO₄)₃Cl.
The name is from the Greek word pyr meaning “fire” and morphe, "form".

Measures 1 x 5/8 x 1/4 inches.
