A beautiful specimen of green crystalline Pyromorphite from the famous Les Farges Mine, Ussel, Correze, France.

Pyromorphite is lead chlorophosphate, with a formula of Pb5(PO4)3Cl.
The name is from the Greek word pyr meaning “fire” and morphe, "form".

 

Measures 1 5/8 x 3/4 x 1/2 inches.
