A beautiful specimen of gemmy "Elestial" Smoky Quartz crystals from the Pitorra Mine, Galileia, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Quartz, silicon dioxide, has a formula of SiO2. The name is from the German quarz, origin uncertain. Quartz in it’s various forms is used as a gemstone, in the manufacture of glass, and in watches as an oscillator.
Measures 3 x 1 1/2 x 7/8 inches.
