A sharp specimen with red scalenohedral (dogtooth) crystals of Rhodochrosite to 0.4 cm. from Mina Potosi, Santa Eulalia, Mexico.
Rhodochrosite is manganese carbonate, with a formula of MnCO3. The name is from the Greek words rhodon meaning “rose”, and chros meaning “color”.
Measures 4.4 x 4.3 x 3 centimeters.
