Rhodochrosite with Quartz and Chalcopyrite, Peru

A sweet cabinet specimen of Rhodochrosite with some micro-Quartz crystals, Chalcopyrite, and Galena, from Huaron, Peru. The mines at Huaron have long been known for the fantastic Quartz-sulfide specimens, but this Rhodochrosite has only recently began to come out in small quantities.

 

Measures 3 1/2 x 2 x 1 3/4 inches.
