Stilbite, "Bowtie" Crystal Cluster, India

A very nice crystal cluster of pale pink "bowtie" Stilbite from the Nasik quarry, Nasik District, Maharashtra, India.

 

Stilbite, hydrous calcium, sodium, aluminum silicate, has a formula of  NaCa2Al5Si13O36•16H2O. The name is from the Greek stilbein "to glitter".

Measures 2 7/8 x 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches.
