Triploidite & Lithiophyllite, 2 Rare species, Brazil
A nice specimen with 2 rare species here, dark pink blades of Triploidite and lighter pink Lithiophyllite from the Capoeira Mine, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil.
Triploidite is (Mn,Fe)2(PO4)(OH). It is named for triplite and the Greek for 'form', since it closely resembles that species.
Lithiophyllite is LiMnPO4. It is named for its lithium component and the Greek for "friend".
Measures 3.2 x 2.6 x 2.2 centimeters.
