Trona, Yellow Crystal Cluster, California
A beautiful, large cluster of pale yellow crystals of the evaporite mineral Trona from Owens Lake, Inyo County, California.
Trona, sodium carbonate, with a formula of Na3(CO3)(HCO3)•2(H2O). The name has arabic origins meaning "natron."
Measures 4 x 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches.
