Wulfenite, Red Bladed Crystal Cluster, China

A spectacular specimen of red bladed Wulfenite crystals from the Kuruktag Mountains, Xingjiang Province, China.

Wulfenite is a lead molybdate, with a formula of PbMoO4. The name is in honor of the Austrian mineralogist Franz Xaver von Wulfen (1728-1805).

Measures 5.5 x 4.8 x 4.3 centimeters.
