Wulfenite on Barite, Rowley Mine, AZ
A very nice specimen of orange bladed Wulfenite crystals on a Barite matrix from the famous Rowley Mine, near Theba, Maricopa County, Arizona.
Wulfenite is a Lead Molybdate, with a formula of PbMoO4.
The name is in honor of the Austrian mineralogist Franz Xaver von Wulfen (1728-1805).
Measures 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 x 2 inches.
