Zoisite, Grey-green Crystal, Pakistan

A beautiful crystal of gemmy grey-green Zoisite from Alchuri, Baltistan, Pakistan. Zoisite is the same mineral as the well-known gemstone Tanzanite.

Zoisite is a calcium aluminum silicate, with a formula of Ca2Al3Si3O12(OH). Zoisite was named for Baron S. Zois van Edelstein (1747 - 1819).

Measures 1.3 x 0.8 x 0.5 centimeters.
